Corporate Criminal Liability is the liability imposed upon the corporation for the criminal acts done by natural persons like the directors of the company or its employees. Now the question which is asked generally regarding corporate criminal liability is that a corporate or a company being an artificial person how it is equipped for carrying out a crime and whether an organisation is such case can have any liability for the said criminal act? Traditionally, it was held that enterprises can't do a criminal act as the main ingredient of a criminal act lies in the intent. But over the periods of time, even the Indian Judiciary has held that a corporation can be held as criminally liable.
